We have, in our files, an unbroken chain of maps of the Virgin Islands that date from the 1700's, these images, carefully scanned from the original documents, and converted to digital images, we have overlaid on our recent mapping efforts as a “historical data layer”. These data give hints about where ancient possession lines may have been, where long forgotten structures are now, and give us a unique perspective on the past and present.
